Fungus Foray at Burrator Reservoir, Devon
Posted October 21st, 2008 by Noo-me-noo
In excess of 40 people joined us for our annual fungus foray at Burrator Reservoir, nr Yelverton, Devon. Always popular, this event brings together experts, keen collectors and those who want to learn more about this fascinating world of fungi. We found a large selection of species, although not much was edilble. But always remember: POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION IS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IF A FUNGUS IS POISIONOUS - ANY DOUBT - DON'T EAT. I have some keys to aid identification, contact me if you would like a copy.
