Trebartha Woodland Garden VISIT CANCELLED
SORRY EVERYONE BUT THIS HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE ESTATE OWNERS BECAUSE OF NECESSARY RESTORATION WORK WHICH CANNOT WAIT UNTIL WINTER.Trebartha is a private estate which opens for the National Garden Scheme. At our Three Tors walk in March, people asked what was down the valley so this event will give us the chance to walk the paths through the woods and up past the cascades where the Withybrook runs down off the moor above.
This is a haven for those who enjoy water, ferns and moss! We can follow the path up to the terraces and around to the old fish ponds and there is also the Swan pool.
Most pathways will be well established but the walk up to the top cascade is quite steep and rocky. If it's wet & windy, the cascades will be even more exciting and there will be refreshments to buy back down in the old laundry.
A map is available from the National Gardens Scheme site.
