Moth activity in a Dartmoor wood

Following on with the moth theme, I was alerted to this video posted on Youtube by John Walters, an entomologist who lives on Dartmoor.

He had noticed how leaves were stripped off the shrubs and trees in May this year and went back to see what the numbers of adult moths were like in winter. The main species, the Winter Moth and the Mottled Umber, have wingless females so the males wait around for them to emerge from the undergrowth.
