The Launceston Area Parish Wildlife Group (LAPWG) was set up in 2001 -2002 and grew to 5 parishes actively recording by 2004. After further Lottery support and development of the approach and this website, the group started to expand in 2009, with 4 further parishes showing interest.

Each parish is self managing with some central support / advice. For more details see Key Points of the scheme.

Each Parish also has its own presence on this website, providing Physical and Habitat maps, details of the historical activities of the parish, detailed analysis of the information collected from quarterly Wildlife Diaries, downloading of parish recording forms and image galleries, showing images taken of the parish by members.
